We know that not every shipment is built from scratch. A lot of the time, you’re moving the same kind of cargo, for the same customers, along the same routes. So instead of typing everything out again, now you can just copy a shipment.
Creating shipments manually over and over again can be a tedious process. If you’re tired of adding in the same info over and over, this tool’s for you.
The new Copy Shipment button lets you make a fresh copy of an existing shipment in seconds — no need to start from scratch.

How It Works
Here’s how to copy a shipment:
- Go to a Shipment page.
- Click Show Details at the top of the page. This should open up the “Shipment Drawer” which contains the addresses and customer details of each shipment.
- Click Copy Shipment.
- That’s it! A new shipment opens in a new tab, with:
- A brand new Shipment ID
- Fresh Shipment Tracking Updates
- A brand new Shipment ID

What carries over to the new shipment?
Here’s what gets copied to the new shipment:
- Essential shipment info: Shipper, Consignee, Customer, Exporter of Record, Importer of Record
- Ledger: All charges and costs
- Items, including weight, size, and quantity
… and what doesn’t?
Some things have to be done fresh every time:
- Documents — you’ll need to upload or generate these again
- Notes — any conversation is unique to a shipment, so each time you duplicate the Notes from the other shipment won’t copy over.
