Set Your Own Markup When You Share a Rate Card

Man using the "Markups' feature in Exfresso Connect

Exfresso Connect now separates your cost from your partner’s price. Every rate you enter on a Rate Card is your cost. When you share that card with a partner, you set a markup, and the partner only ever sees the marked-up amount — never what’s underneath.

What’s changed

Rate Cards have always been where you build out your pricing. What’s new is clearer language in the wizard about what those numbers mean, and full control over the margin you share.

When you’re setting rates, the Calculated Cost section now spells it out:

No more guessing whether a number is what you pay or what you charge.

How markups work

Because your margin can differ for every partner, you’ll set markups for each of partner at the same point you share rates with them.

When you open Share with Partners, each connected Forwarder gets a Markup over cost field. Enter a percentage, and Exfresso does the math. Share First Mile Air at +22% for one partner, +18% for another, +25% for a third — each relationship gets its own margin without you maintaining separate cards.

Back on the Rate Card, the Partners this Rate Card is shared with table shows every partner alongside the markup they were shared at, their review status, and when they last acted on it. Your cost stays the constant; the markup column shows the margin layered on top for each one.

What your partner sees

This is the part that matters most: the partner who reviews and publishes the Rate Card only sees the marked-up amount. To them, the marked-up figure is the rate. Your underlying cost never leaves your side of the network. Each Forwarder reviews and publishes on their own schedule, and once they publish, the shared price represents a binding agreement.
