Purpose
This document describes how Exfresso handles specific categories of platform data. It supplements our Privacy Policy by providing transparency into what we will and will not do with your business data.
Guiding Principles
Sensitive Commercial Data Is Always Private
Certain data is classified as Restricted under our Data Classification Policy and will never be shared, aggregated, marketed, or sold. This category — which we refer to as sensitive commercial data — includes all margins and markups (agent margins, customer margins, and margin data within quotes, ratings, and bookings), API credentials, authentication tokens, and other business- and security-sensitive information. Exfresso will not use this data for any purpose other than delivering the platform service to you.
Your Specific Data Stays Between the Parties Involved
The specific details of your individual ratings, quotes, or bookings are never shared with anyone other than the parties involved in executing that shipment. On multi-leg shipments, agents servicing different segments may see that other agents are involved but will not see each other’s costs, line items, or other sensitive commercial details.
Anonymized and Aggregated Data May Be Used Commercially
Exfresso reserves the right to anonymize and aggregate certain transactional data for product development, market analysis, industry reporting, and commercial purposes. Anonymization is performed using reasonable industry-standard methods to minimize the risk of re-identification, though no method can guarantee absolute impossibility of identification by inference.
Product Development Applies Broadly
Exfresso reserves the right to use transactional data for internal product development and platform improvement. This right applies broadly, where access may be necessary for technical platform work.
However, the content of sensitive data is never used to inform business or product decisions. Product development use of sensitive data is strictly limited to technical platform work; it does not extend to analysis of what that data contains or means.
All product development use is internal and does not involve sharing identifiable data with third parties.
You Control What’s Shared on the Platform
Your data is private unless you explicitly opt in to making it available to other platform users — for example, by publishing rate cards in Connect. We will not make your data available to other platform users without your affirmative action.

Changes to These Commitments
We will not weaken protections on “Never” categories without at least 30 days advance notice and consent from affected customers. Other changes communicated via email to account administrators before taking effect.
